Use this when an app worked before a password change but now repeatedly prompts, fails sign-in, or keeps using old credentials.
At a glance
- Use this when: Anyone whose apps keep prompting for an old password after a Propeller password change.
- Typical time: 5-15 minutes
- Priority signal: High if Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, or VPN access is blocked.
Quick checks
- Sign out of the affected app completely.
- Quit and reopen the app.
- Sign in with your current Propeller password.
- Restart your computer if several apps are affected.
- Do not keep retrying if the account appears locked.
Steps to try
- Identify whether one app or many apps are affected.
- Test the web version of the app if one exists.
- Update saved passwords on phones, Outlook, Teams, and browser password managers if prompted.
- If a single app fails, remove only that app's stale saved sign-in if you know which entry it is.
- Submit a ticket if the app still rejects the new password.
Submit a ticket when
- Multiple apps are affected.
- The account becomes locked.
- The web version works but the desktop app does not.
- You are unsure which saved credential to remove.
Include this in your ticket
- Which apps are affected.
- Whether the issue started immediately after a password change.
- Screenshot or exact prompt/error text.
- Whether the web version works.
